my oil return
just wanted to know if the experts thought this was ok. i've had two turbos smoke. one i believe was in need of a rebuild and the other was just of poor quality. i'm upgrading to either a precision or a t3to4e off of cheapturbo.com in a week or so. anyways is this the cause of the smoke or should i be fine once a put a quality turbo on.
update got the right pics up.

how does that have anything to do with the oil return line dipping to low?

yes. Your setup could cause oil to build up and make your car smoke. Your line levels out and needs to be a angled down from the turbo to the pan. Don't let it level out.
sometimes it just "seeps" past the seals without damaging them. BUt if you were getting BILLOWING smoke, than its probably gone.
<----who has gone through 4 turbos this summer. I think they were all bad, because Ive had 1.25" ID return lines all summer, ALL downhill. One of the turbos developed a 1/4" lateral shaft play within 100 miles

Yea, you will want to fix this. Upward sloping to the pan = Bad.

you want it to be as straight down as possible. ie: no kinks, or dips. Just down. The oil has to run down hill, not up hill.
