Default My new setup vs. My old setup

Well I've gotten a lot of PM's about how I liked my new setup versus my old drag kit and if it was worth the pain and suffering...etc.

Well some of you are gonna bitch about going this fast on an open road, so save your time and dont say anything....but....

w/ my old setup (drag 3 kit - t04b w/ hondata and rc 500's. ) well as many of you know i made 270 whp @ about 10.5 psi. my traps at the track were also good for 107 mph

well back in the day, i topped my old setup at about 144 mph.

now w/ my new setup, ive had some trouble keeping the charge pipes on, heh, even though im running 7.5~8 psi w/ this new setup, it has so much more top end....

when i finally fixed my charge pipe dilemma, i took it to the highway for a little boosting.....upon the on ramp, some fart canned prelude cuts me off or whatever, and took off.....well i was like what the hell, let him get aways (probably a 5 second head start) and then dropped it.....well i passed him at about 130 mph like he was standing still. i took her to about 151 and let off. and i know there is plenty of room too. but i didnt wanna push it.

heres the best part....im running rich, about 11.9:1 afr and extremely retarded timing.....plenty of room to make some more power

so to answer everyones questions, yes it was worth all the trouble getting that damn thing to fit on the block....i cant wait to get to the dyno

P.S. Here is a pic of my solution to my charge pipes blowing off, see w/ my compressor sitting a little further to the tranny side of the block, the drag 3 pipes are a little short....so i couldnt mate the pipes as close together hence all the blow offs w/ charge pipes....so i did this:

I thought there was gunna be pics of your engine bay or something but all I see is someone holding a sewer plumbing coupler in front of what appears to be a framed picture of a motorcycle, where most people would normally hang a family portrait or something of that sort.

im glad to hear that everything worked out for you.
we are in the process of either creating an adapter, that will align the 4bolt to the same position as the 5bolt, or offering the 5bolt housings as well as the 4bolt...
keep us updated and send us some pics and a small writeup on your setup for the customers section.

um yes it will I topped my speedo of 130 out like othing at about 4k or so and kept pulling to about 6k when I let off, so they do go that fast. at least LS gearing does.

i was riding with this man tuning it when the charge pipe popped off...hehe sounded like a supercharger when it was off cause of the loud whistle noise it kept making.

but seriously, i rode in his before and with his new setup and the top end pull is really sick. makes my sohc turbo feel like junk, hehe jk.
