Default Is my intercooler too small?

setup
built d16y8
300 whp 271 lbs of torque...

i wanna boost higher now, but i'm afraid my precicion intercooler is not efficient enough at higher boost levels...

I have the smallest one, which is supposed to be good to 350hp...

Should I go larger? Also what do you guys reccomend that is cheap, DURABLE (my johnnyracecar bent like aluminum foil) and something that lets me keep my stock bumper support.

Uh no don't do that. You are good with that precision intercooler for more than 350. I have seen 400 on that size. They underate those intercoolers.

I understand it could do 400... but will it do it efficiently?

Could I possibly get more power from the same boost, by cooling intake temps with a bigger IC? Im not sure..

I'm in the same boat as you. I bought a small Precision i/c when I planned on running low boost. Now I'm wanting to build the motor and turn up the boost, and I'm hoping for at least 350hp, maybe more. So I too am wondering if I should sell my small Precision i/c and buy the medium one.

What size piping are you currently using with your setup?

i'm using 2.5 all around...

does the next step up precision fit without cutting the support?
and will it fit the bumper without massive cutting?

Why not before you spend money getting a new IC and piping done tune up for more boost and see how it does. Those precision intercoolers are pretty efficient.

The Intercooler sits perfectly on the lower brace and flush up against the back of the upper one. Then I drilled throught the tabs on the intercooler and made some brackets and bolted it up to the car!

Here is what I used to cut the plastic lip. The Jig saw got old really quick and the garden snips got the job done.

That IC will be fine, i have the same one.

Remember... Alot of people say its to small because its not enough 'IC BLING'. WOW whos got the biggest IC..

Im looking for around 300whp.
