my intercooler has oil in it!

Default my intercooler has oil in it!

i bought it w/ oil included for free!
how do i clean that and metal shavings out?

Go buy a TON of carb cleaner and spray that sucker out GOOD
Then put a hose in one end with a high pressure spray attachment and spray away, make sure to hit all the rows of fins possible.....
Oil in the intercooler makes me think DSM sidemount? Am I right?

i cleaned mine using gas. pour about 2 cups worth and swish it around. looks brand new now.

i've heard of the gas method.
what to use? premium, midgrade??
premium is 93 octane!
just slosh it around?

gas has a high flash point, so itll evaporate quickly, if you want it to evap faster, just throw in a match . hahaha

sounds like the turbo consumed itself on the car using that IC. coincidently, the oil in the IC s usualy from the blowby ventilation. install a catch can in between the valve cover vent and the IC charge pipe.
