My first Turbo.
Going to install first turbo setup on stock JDM H22A engine. It's been many years sience I'm reading about Turbo setups here in H-T. Saw what did local tuners. Impressed engine power rise with FI setups. Here are the part list of kit:
Engine:
JDM H22A 1994
New seals, glands, belts, oils, water.
FI:
Turbo - "KKK" K26/K27 hybrid.
WG - Tial 38 mm.
Manifold - "Laki Tuning" equal length manifold.
Blow off- "Greddy" S-type.
Injectors - "RC" 440 cc resisted
IC - ~500X300X60 mm
IC Piping - 60 mm "Source Motorsports"
Downpipe - 76 mm "Source Motorsports"
Oil lines - "Hydroscan"
Electronics:
WB - BOSCH
PLX R-500
CROME P30ECU-RTP.
Interesting other people opinion about this kit and parts. How much boost and power we could expect. Our idea not to built the drag monster, but every day use car. As I'm doing to do that first time, think there will be some unexpected problems.

From what research I've done, stock H22's don't take to boost very well. Even with a proper tune.
You might want to research this yourself before bolting anything on. Good luck.

They can handle low boost fine. The reason people say they can't handle boost well is because they have a higher compression ratio.
Sounds to me like you are on the right track. I don't know much about that turbo though, so I can't say much about that.
Good luck getting it all together. Boost is better!

no, you need to do some researching. theres a guy on here running 442whp on a stock h22a man. with proper tuning you can do the unimaginagle...lol!

please dont post if youre unsure of what youre talking about. currently im boosting 10lbs. on an internally stock h22 with 150,000 miles. it runs great. 18g turbo, cast manifold, hallmans manual boost controller, precision turbo intercooler, hondata s200 etc.
sounds like your turbo kit is coming along fine, take your time. it sounds like youve given enough consideration to a good engine management system so all is well. good luck with it and you really shouldnt have any problems with the install if you just simply take your time and do things the RIGHT way.

You right. No any rush. It's been 2 month sinces we start to work on that. A lot of verbal job with local tuners about how, what, where. Part ordering, waiting. I'm form E-Europe and part witing from US take some time. So, we got this week the manifold. I'm too impressed about it. Thanks to Kaimo from "Laki tuning"(Estonia) the waiting time worth it.

You have no idea what you are talking about. There are numerous boosted H22s that are running fine. The One-Fab civic was making 536/400 on a stock H22. As long as you have a good tune it will be fine.

I'm goign to have to call you out on that, i've only seen a couple stock motor'd big numbered h22 cars, and i don't know of any that are still running on the same original motor at very high power levels. The ringlands are know for their weakness and usually give out around the 350whp range. tuning can't save parts that can't handle the power to begin with.

Search for it on here. Or go to his site http://www.one-fab.com The motor was making all most 600 in the end. The only thing that went bad, was the retainer broke. Other than that...the motor was a beast.

We are not going to make drag car. First step is make it to work. Our target 250-300 hp. With 440cc injectors more that 300 hp hard to find.
Have question about fuel pump. Are 3 gen lude fuel pump will supply those injectors with necesary efficiency?

If you keep the fuel pressure at the stock level, you will be perfectly fine.

i've seen it, thats one car, and its not running anymore, there was another one by "firedrake" or something like that in the 400sbut i haven't heard about it in a long time, and the gold ek hatch one blew up also. like a said, some people get lucky for longer than others, but regaurdless the h22a has weak ringlands.

Some update pics:
Don't have TIG welding machine, so did spot welds. When finish, then I will bring all pipes to shop, they will do all tig job for me.
Have problem, only ~30mm till ground. The exhaust tube are 76 mm, car must be lifted up or something must be done with tube.
As you can see the pipe near throttle body are smaller as throttle. I will going to weld the cone from 60 to 70 mm, then it will be same size as outside measure of throttle body.
