Well as some of you know Dan (93LSivic) from Fuzion is building my engine now. Here is the story:

A year ago I had SKR Performance, now called Modified motorsports in NJ build a turbo kit for my ITR. This was the first 00 ITR turbo they had done. This was also before I new how to do my own installs. If I would have waited another couple months, I could have done it myself. Anywho, after it was done I had overheating problems, detonation, and was not making any power. They could not figure it out and I spent hours on the dyno and we tried switching everything. Well last month I was on the dyno again and blew a headgasket. I saw a melted piston also so I decided to rebuild totally. Well after almost a year of boost and no results. Dan sent me some pics of what he found, while taking apart my engine. I think I know why my car hasn't been running right For anyone thinking of going to SKR don't! they have fucked up many installs. I am just another victim who sunk thousands into shitty work. Thanks goes out to Dan and all the HT guys who have helped me stay on track and not sell my baby . Well here are the pics. Pulled the head and this is what I saw. Chipped piston on #1 cylinder.

To top it off we found what a great weld job and return line job they did

Well thanks to my HT help. My motor is being fully built with sleeves now. Hoping to make atleast 350whp (which is my goal). Thanks again guys.

And kids don't try this at home! READ READ READ and be weary of shops. HT has a wealth of knowledge and you can learn yourself so you don't get had like me.

 

damn , they do look bad, but i have seen wors eon this itr in my area, this kid is an *** clown though and it retarded, i would sue or burn down SKR at this point , but thats just me being hostile. Glad you saw the light and decided to keep her and make her thta much better, at least you got the knowledge now, unfortunately prob close to $15k later

Na I am not going to do anything. They know they fucked up. Ya I have no money and unfortunately I'll be in debt for the rest of the summer, but I hope to have my car kickin some *** soon.

Hey, those pics look familiar

You forgot to mention that when SKR did a leakdown test the results showed no significant issues. To shops who dont even understand how to do the simplest of tests....and charge you for time that will magically fix problems like this.

Nate, you should post those monster dyno results they got for you too

believe it or not Dan , iwatched thme do the tests, the compression i had to walk thme thru becuase he took all the plugs out at once and sprayed fuel all over the palce hahaha lol . but after i corrected thme , the compression was like 220 right around there across the board and the leakdown was 0, it looked like they did the leakdown right, but that was the 1st time i saw it done , it looked cut and dry though. . . . no doubt though the tech who did his work . . . was an utter retard in the simplest form

 

Thats some F@#ked up **** for a Buisness to do all that. I'd be making a call to BBB, Better Buisness Burero, just so somthing is on the record for that compnay. You dont want anyone else followqing in your footsteeps.

Hahaha ya luckily my boy Tim works at honda so I have a new oil pan right now that Dan is going to do a new return line setup, SS. I can laugh about it now because I have already cried about having to spend so much money to fix everything. Just let this be a lesson to all those who go to shops. I thought they were reputable and look what happened.

My new setup will kickass though. I can't wait to get the beast back up. This is whats going in.
