Default my d-series build

Well I'm currently waiting on parts to arrive but here's the list of what's been ordered/picked up
d16z6
cp pistons 9:1
eagle rods
acl race bearings
darton sleeves
first JM Fabrications sheet metal intake manifold for a D-series
some bigass throttle body to match the manifold(still looking)
gt30r
hondata s300
J&S Ultrasafeguard - wired to knock sensor which will have a bung welded to block

head:
nothing ordered yet still trying to figure what will work best

random picks of my workplace (JNZ Tuning/JM Fabrications) and my block getting prepped

after a few hours of beed blasting...still not done yet

powdercoated my valve cover...

I've recently become addicted to powdercoating...

Nice build Turbo D's are always fun!

On a side note how do you go about getting a job at a place like that. Did you go to any technical/vocational schools or what?

Yes I know about the notching. I'll will continue to post more pics as stuff arrives and the block gets back from the machine shop. Anyone with a d-series that wants a sheet metal intake manifold I'm pushing JM Fabrications to make mine quick so he can mass produce them like he does already for DSM's, Evo's, and SRT-4's. B-series should be coming soon also.

I'm curious as to how well the J&S will work with a with a welded on knock sensor bung... Please keep us/me updating on that. Really interested in those findings!

The manifolds are currently not in production for the D or B-series, like I said I'm working on it. However the DSM manifolds currently sell for $475 through JM Fabrications and we (JNZ Tuning) usually have sales of around $400 on them. I expect the pricing to be about the same with the honda manifolds.

i'm pretty sure the honda guys would bite all over those if they were dyno proven.

I have a built d series myself with a skunk2 mani- we can do a side by side test!

actually my compression is a bit off- i think i may need a rebuild.

is big josh still around?
