My 240sx.
Here are some pictures of my 89 Nissan 240sx. I did this swap about 3 months ago and just recently have uploaded the pictures. About 2 months ago some guy on the interstate had a little too much road rage and decided to slam on his brakes, hence making me slide right under his jeep and then totaling out my car. Luckily the motor was unharmed. I luckily had some good friends, and they surprised me by buying me another 240sx. It was an engineless 90 240sx that they picked up for a really good price through another one of our friends. A week later we started the swap and got it done in 17hours with just 3 of us (2 of us most of the time). The swap went well and started up with ease.
I have been having alot of fun with it. I will get pictures uploaded of my new ride here soon.

I had a friend do the wiring (omahaturbocivic) and we found out it wasn't that hard at all. It was a total of about 7-9 wires that he had to splice together. For the mounts, well I used the stock R33 skyline cross-member with the stock mounts. Just put some 1/2inch aluminum spacers between the cross-member and tranny mounts.

Im omahaturbocivic on this forum zack, 94civicturbo was taken. You getting bored over on your Nissan forums so you decide to come over where the fast cars are ? This car is nice for not being a honda, it pulls strong as hell for a stock swap. Feels noticably stronger than my 14.0 civic ever felt.

Re: (BlueSi2k)
Damn I'm jealous.
My next project is 95-96 240sx with RB26DETT with s15 front end.
There are now mounts out for the RB26DETT which make it a drop in swap and allowing you to keep the TT's.

Yes, McKinney motorsports makes a mount kit that they just came out with. It allows you to keep the stock twins. Expensive kit, but worth it. I was going to go with McKinney's RB25 motor mount kit, but you get that then you have to get thier down-pipe and also there driveshaft, which makes it about $1150. I used the stock R33 cross-member and mounts and saves that amount. With the RB26, you have no choice, the twins will get in the way of the steering rack. Good luck with the new project.

How much HP can that motor handle stockwise?</TD></TR></TABLE>
The RB25DET can handle up to about 600HP on stock internals. It is a stong motor, but not as good as the RB26DETT. The RB26 (godzilla) has been taken a in the 800HP range on stock internals.

Just some first hand information. save your money on the uneccessary mounts. the stock r33 crossmember makes the RB26dett(yes I put both "t"s in there for a reason) a bolt in affair. Skyline R33 rear end w/ Tein suspension, Rb20det tranny, home done wiring wasn't much more than the mpfi conversion literate couldn't tackle. Had it running for a while about 6 months ago and developed a rod knock, motor was replaced with another longblock and is up and running once again! I have ridden in both this car and SR20 powered s13's and s14's and this has way more potential. Torque is insane low end and spools immediately.

Re: (turboex)
right under 6g's for everything, blitz ecu. tein coilovers all around, skyline rear end, motor, tranny, guage cluster, seats, complete wiring harness, intercooler and piping. and a bunch of misc crap like the silvia crossmember and stuff. then the rod knocked, then he got a deal on another longblock, sortof a warrenty thing for $500! that means time to start building the extra motor!

Re: (NINJASPY)
It's pulled off in those pictures, you can see the end of the piping. we managed to use all stock R33 intercooler piping and stock intercooler too! even with the two big blow off valves you can see behind the passengers headlight.
