WANTBOOST

Make sure the dowels are in the correct location (around the outer most headstuds on the exhaust side of the block).

Dremel down part of the dowel, so its smaller. Or you can make your head hole larger I had ungodly amounts of trouble with the dowels. But use a dremel and a nice carbide/grinding bit and some vice grips (or hell a bench grinder might work real well, probably better) and go to town on the dowel. Make sure there is nothing in the hole to create extra friction between the dowel and the head.

Good luck.

are you talking about having a gap with the dowels? I just went through this ...I had to use a rubber mallett to put the dowels in the block and hit the head with a rubber mallet too.

ill probably just bore out the dowel holes on the head, they do look a bit small. and getting the stock ones out was a bitch and a half.

theres a decent gap (.25") but ill get rid of that, lol

i built my LS/vtec myself using this kit. i love this kit it made the whole setup so much easier and most important as close to honda as it can get. the only thing i had to complain about was lack of instructions so i second guessed my self on the dowels and tapping the head. but it came out perfect. for GE. but the quality of the parts is amazing. thank you Golden Eagle.

one question i just ordered my turbo kit, a revhard kit. do you know if the -3AN line will thread directly into the oil sandwich? sorry i dont know exactly the thread type and size it will come with.

I assume you mean the smaller port. It is 1/8 NPT. You should be able to find a 1/8 NPT to 3 AN adapter though.

I just finished putting a customer motor together using the LS/VTEC Install Kit, and other than using a rubber mallet to put the head down onto the dowels, it was an amazing kit.

I would recommend this kit to anyone.

I'm not doing an LS/VTEC, just putting on a turbo and I think the oil sandwich is worth it's weight in gold. Not only does the turbo get nice clean filtered oil, but I can hang the oil pressure sensor on it to boot! Best part is not having to deal with T-ing off the block. I just got mine today and it looks like a quality piece.

well, on my block (obd0 b18a) there isnt enough room for me to get the pressure sender on in the stock location... i do have a length of ss braided line to be used as a firewall kit, so i guess i'll just relocate the oil pressure sender to the firewall and tee off of the oil sandwich turbo feed for my oil pressure gauge (rather be monitoring oil pressure to the turbo i guess)
