I am buying some ignition stuff for my car. It is a 82mm gsr benson block gsr, and a gsr head, Borg Warner IHI RHB62 T3/T04 turbo, looking for about 400 to 500 HP. I am looking at buying modded cap and rotor with an external coil. Witch external coil would you guys recomend? I was looking at the blaster 3 coil, but I really have no exsperience with this stuff and any help would greatly be apreciated...

 

My Blaster SS has been going strong for ~3 years and ~40,000 miles so far.

 

MSD makes the best external cap, I tried them all.
I used to burn up the blaster ss coils, but then I switched to a blaster 2 coil and its still going for 2 years even with all the oil leaked out.

 

Had blaster ss coils with no isses, id recomend a pro hvcII coil. yeah little overkill but plenty of room for upgrade late rone if you plan on it.
In theory the stock honda ignition will handle the power your looking to make but if you want external then go big

 

i recomended the HVC II as well, then i realised it was 7 series specific

 

also I've been running a msd 6a inition with that setup since 2000 with no problem with the system.
