Default MSD 2 Step + Building Boost

This isn't regarding using the 2 step to build boost off the line. But to build boost while already moving. I was watching a video of a race that I fonud on here. the car it was racing was turboed obviosuly. And he used the 2 step while alreayd moving to build bosot jsut before the race. It was highly effective as it was much faster then the race prior with not using it.. Question tho. Would I jsut be able to activate the 2 step while cruising at say 6000RPM and ahve it bouce off(well trying to) at 4000RPM to make boost but not acutalyl accelerate? Or would I have to push the clutch in then do it for it to work properly... Kinda dumb question I know.

what you saw was called anti-lag. you can use the msd 3 step to do it. I know the aem ems can do it(I have the aem with that function setup, its ******* great)

How does it differ exactly form standard 2-3 step limtier used on launches. same thing no? Do you keept he car in gear and engage it and sjtu go WOT? or do you ahve t put your foot on the clutch.

I run this set up and yes it does work.. MY wastegate is set up at 8.5psi and with a 3000pill I get 8psi off the button. If I use a higher pill I only get 4-6psi..
I now have an adjustable pill for under 3000 and at 2600rpm I get full boost and killer launch at this setting.. Once I install the Moroso line lock and attach it all together to the 2-step I will be able to stay locked up and can load the clutch up a little without fear of rolling...

Thanks for the input. But if you read my post more you would see I'm not talking about building boost off the line. But good to hear

I got a Hurst shifter handle the T handle w/button on the side and hooked it up to that.. Yes at the light hold button load it up and launch, but let off the button when you launch..You have to yse a momantary button not the clicky button

Have you ever seen a progressive controller for noitrous before? If so, this is much greater and more effective then the 3 step feature. It is nice that the AEM EMS has the output built in, so does the HONDATA, they just call it the Nitrous output that's all. Essentially what you want to do is turn peak boost down as low as you can in the gears with out loosing traction. That's were a logger comes in handy. See where your shift points are in time, and then go from there. Innovative Turbo makes a good boost controller for this ranges between $550-$650. Or oyu can go another way with some CO2 solenoids and a timer. It works awesome.

i could build close to 10psi with the msd two step at about 60mph. I used the ebrake switch as the activator and with the car at the right speed for the two step to work(60mph, about 5k rpm and third gear) i have the ebrake handle raised enough to engage the 2step and have the the gas pedal depressed. When you release the ebrake you have instant boost.

Great! That's what I wanted to ehar!. What RPM would you be at at 60mph when you engage it? and what pill do you ahve for the 2 step set to? You don't have to put the clutch in do ya?

Have you ever tried brake boosting? I can hit 22psi while rolling before the race.

applying pressure to the brakes with your left foot while holding the gas with your right. it puts more load on the motor creating boost faster. works well.

eliminates any momentary lag from a roll

It works much better than the 2step while rolling. I do it alot on the supra and the integra.

Lets just say the car jumps when the brake is release at 22psi
