Default Mounting precision 650hp intercooler on EG.

Hey everyone i was just curious if anyone had some tips on how to install this intercooler on an EG. I dont have access to a mechanism to cut the front bumper support like many have mounted theres, so i took off the front bumper support but cant figure out a way to Cleanly and snugly mount the intercooler, thanks again

If you have a EK u should have more room then I do. I have a EG and my intercooler is 30 wide x 12 tall x 3+ thick. I had to get sick with the grinder to make it fit. I still have some of my grill on because I like the way it looks with the grill still ther. Mounting mite need a aluminum welder if your intercooler doesn't have any screw holes. If it has screw holes you can fab your own mounts.

the precision isnt as tall as yours, it fits perfectly just above where the front bumpersupport is. it does have those mounting tabs. just trying to find out how other people mounted theres so it was nice and snug.

well if you dont have any tooling to cut the bumper support i'll go ahead and assume you cant weld aluminum either.....

so in that case, use the threaded holes on the sides of the end tanks and make brackets that bolt where the factory bumper support used to go. use both holes where the bumper support went so that it cant pivot. unfortunatly ive seen a lot of people attempt to do this very poorly, and i havnt taken any pictures of any of the mounts i made either.

not much help but hope it helps some?

Go to Lowes/Home depot, get a dremel, and soem fiberglass reinforced cutting blades...

this is what i did last weekend while waiting for my pipes to come in:

not exactly the Precision 600hp but almost the same dimensions, 31x8x3.5

Edit: damn mine looks tiny compared to above...

Better cancel your order. You will be cutting some of your bumper.
