hello i have a 91 crx si and i got a turbo kit from a buddy and was wondering if it is impossible to mount the fmic if the car is molded and unable to take off the bumper? should i just not run a fmic and run low boost? thanks for the help

whatever you do, don't run without it....seriously, you will regret it.
you may need to just be creative and build some sort of bracketry to make it work.
or take it to a performance shop who might be able to help you.
Or post some underhood pics and see what people say...

honestly in a situation like that a water-2-air is the way to go....the prices have come down dramatically in the past few years and you can pick one up for about the same cost as a quality air-2-air. Or you can pick one up the drag FS thread for cheaper. Plus they take up less room and are versatile in the places you can mount them

Get a sawzall and an angle grinder and go to town. Get the front bumper off, don't mold it back on. You'd have to trim the backside of that bumper quite a bit to get the FMIC to clear anyway even if it wasn't molded on.

yoiu only have 3 options
A) cut the **** out of the bumper so you can attempt to mount it
B) remove all the molded ****, which from the sounds of it, isnt exactly the "look" you're going for
C) Water 2 Air intercooler.....those work better anyways, effiecency is the key to more power when turbocharging a car

frozenboost.com has some good deals on air to water intercoolers, that's your only reasonable option.

Check my video with my stock ls vtec. You'll love the turbo on it.

You will be severely disappointed with an NA LS/VTEC vs a boosted stock D16A6, let alone a boosted piston/rod LS/VTEC. The main issue with that block is it has the high compression cast-aluminum pistons. Very good tuning can reduce the risk, but only for so long. Then you'll need new pistons, and possibly a new head & turbo if it's a very bad blowup.

Here is a NA built LS/VTEC:

Here are some turbocharged LS/VTEC's (both near 9:1):
