Default Most efficient way to setup e-cutout?

OK, I love the idea of running an e-cutout, but the way I've seen them typically plumbed is terrible for the normal "closed" flow. In other words, what's the best way to set up the ecutout in the dp or exhaust so it's a nice smooth efficient flow when the valve is CLOSED, since that's the way you run it 95% of the time.

Pics would be helpful.

Thanks
