Mix Matching ECUs Help
Has any one swapped engines that run an automatic and used a diffrent model ECU than from the tranny. For example you might put a H22 engine in with the Accord Tranny. Thats the H22 Ecu feeding the accord tranny computer. Or similiar. Does it work// Thanks
I think you can use just about any ECU, you just have to wire it up correctly. I have a Accord with an H22, right now I have the H22 ecu, but I'm getting ready to swap it with a type-r ecu.
I have a 5speed, but you should be fine as long as everything is wired up right. Do you have the Hayne's manual. You can just cross-reference all the wires and make sure all the pinouts match up. Not sure though but it only makes sense that it would work, as long as the ecu is wired right to make the tranny work, it really doesn't matter what ecu you use. Good luck and have fun when it finished!
