Default Missing part of Tial WG

I bought my tial 35mm wastegate used and never had the top port:

anyone know where I can get this piece seperately or a workaround?
Never needed this port before but just got my hbc in the mail and its waiting to be installed

Just get an Earls barbed fitting. Most people have to replace that Tial fitting anyways cause it usually hits the hood--the earls' is lower profile.

What size would the male end (into top of wg) need to be?

Anyone who has replaced this piece before, do you have a part# ?

You only need that if you run a ebc.

You can just leave it off and you'll be fine. usually you leave that vented to the atmosphere anyway.

You dont need it. I have that same wg and a Profec B. I only use the side port which is connected to the out of the boost controller.

Uhh...are you sure your connecting it right? The "OUT" on the stepper motor connects to the top of the wastegate on my Tial.

Yep, got her boosting @ 10 for low and 13 for high. Works like a charm.

You can hook up a BC either of the two ways.
Either:

Boost -> controller -> side port
or
Boost + side port -> controller -> top port

Wont the last scenario let boost get to the wastegate before the controller opens? With the controller shut, <desired boost level, the boost would go straight to the wg and start opening it. Help me understand.

thanks for all the replies... just to get it all straight..

i can leave the top port open to atmosphere and use the side port for an mbc.

top port is for an ebc such as the profecb/blitz/etc.

I always though that the Top port was for a boost controller. I thouhg that the boost controller would let boost go to the top port causeing the pressure on both sides of the diaphrame to have equall pressure and then once you reach the preset boost level it cuts boost to the top port? Am I wrong? My Blitz SPBC has two setting on the brain for AC/WG. I though WG mode would make it work like I metioned above and AC mode just cut the boost that the wastegate saw. I never got the instructions with mine becasue it was bought used.

The boost controller regulates boost to the top port which will balance the boost
trying to open the WG. When boost reaches the specified amount, the controller
shuts the flow to the top port allowing the WG to open.

The top port of the waistegate is very important if you plan on controlling boost beyond the preset spring weight.

Especially if you are using a profic or AVC-R, this connection is very inperative!!

If you attempt to controll a poppet style waistgate like a swinggate with a normally closed connection attached to the bottom of the diphram, you will see major spiking. Attaching an open connection to the bottom, and then a Nomally open connection to the top port, you will see immidiant control of the waiste gasses..

See ya.

Now I'm confused. I thought you needed the top port with an ebc. Although I do remember my freind hooking up my profec b and tial using only the side port, and the wastegate did open when it was supposed to. However, the switches on the back were still set for an internal wastegate. Wierd.
