Default misfiring in upper rpms

I have a turbo gsr at about 7500rpms it breaks up and makes kind of a popping noise like the ignition is breaking up. It misfires so bad that it wont even rev past 7500, my rev limiter is set at 8500. I replaced the plugs and gapped them at .020 they are ngk plug with a heat range of 7. The ignition is all OEM except for the rotor and plug wires witch are cheap ones from baxters. Maybe thats my problem? I just ordered an OEM rotor and was gona try ngk blue plug wires.

Some info on my set up: Darton sleeved 84mm block, eagle rods, wiseco pistons, BC valve springs and retainers, ferrea valves, FIC 750cc injectors, gm 3 bar, gt35r turbo kit. The car is only makin 360whp and 260tq on 92 pump gas. It was tuned by English-Racing in WA.

Any help would be great. Thanx guys.

Try going with a smaller gap. Maybe it's time to upgrade your ignition system?

My tuner recommended a .020 gap. This didnt start happening until about a week after it was tuned. And it seams to misfire worse after iv bean driving around for a while when the car is really warm.

Thats what Im going to do if I cant figure it out on my own. Im pretty confident in my tuner and think its probably not a tuning issue because it ran perfect for a week after the tune.

What exactly is a leaking plug wire? Im guessing it could be the plug wires, like I said they are cheap *** ones from baxters.

Hopefully you did not spin a bearing and there is metal pieces blocking the oil for vtec, and (high rpm's) causing it too cut out like that... Thats what happened to me. It got progressively worse as I drove... Take off the vtec selonoid and see what the screen in there looks like.

Ok I fixed the problem, put a new OEM rotor on and it runs perfect all the way to redline.

No more cheap ignition stuff from baxters lol.
