Default minor rebuild or replace motor?

i wanted to get your opinion on something. my 94 b18b motor is old and worn. abused by boost and commuting. still ran strong with boost but i know its going to need to be replaced soon. should i get a used jdm motor for around $600+ applicable charges. or should i get new pistons & rings for around the same price (including labor)? im still debating on what to do.

Rebuild it. It'll perform better and be more powerful than buying another used motor with who knows how much past abuse.

definitely rebuild. The engine will be stronger (if you upgrade pistons) and you know its history.

Rebuild the engine and upgrade as much as you can afford. The used engine won't last as long.
