Mini dyno day at xotics...
I did some Hondata tuning with local cars, including my own car. Here are the results:
1995 Civic Cx Hatchback (my car)
Mods: Stock internal GSR block, 3mm head gasket, ARP headstuds, Edlebrock IM, Full Race manifold, 3" dp., 3" Thermal Exhaust, PWR Intercooler, Tial 40mm wg and bov, Full Race T3/T-Series turbo, 720cc injectors, Warlboro 255lph fuel pump, and Hondata S100.
Dyno Graph: Tuning at 11psi
I dyno'd 5psi I made 283whp and 195ft-lbs, 7.5psi (low boost) 319whp and 212ft-lbs. The full race manifold, turbo and pwr intercooler speak for themselves.
1998 Integra GSR
Mods: Stock GSR block, 3mm hg, ARP headstuds, Edlebrock IM, Greddy Turbo Kit, 3" custom exhaust, 880cc injectors, Warlboro 255lph fuel pump, and Hondata S100.
Dyno Graph: Tuning at 14psi
The Greddy kit made some decent power near the 1bar level. The downpipe was the restriction on this set-up utilizing the near stock size flanges on the 2.5" pipe. The owner is getting a custom 3" made very soon, easily 300whp once this gets done.
1995 Del Sol Vtec
Mods: Revhard stage 2 Turbo kit, 550cc injectors, Warlboro 255lph fuel pump, and Hondata S200 and Greddy 2.5" exhaust.
Dyno Graph: Tuning at 7psi
This particular set-up was a bit low, both the .48a/r housing size and cat/resonator were robbing the power.

man that is really impressive numbers on your car..and nice job on tuning, dead on a/f curves in boost
just wondering, why does the guy with the second graph shown have 880cc's with a greddy kit?

nice numbers
Just curious if your pushing 354 Hp at 11 psi on the street
or were these numbers just for the dyno using some race gas?
What PSI do you normally keep it at for the street?
Thanks...

Also what's with the 550 injectors for 7 psi ?

I was very impressed Jeff. I couldn't believe the sick power you were getting on stock internals What is up the Del Sol's plot? I ordered my stuff for the 3in DP from Kteller and he said it should be here friday. So we are going to try to fab up the DP for sunday. Once again great tuning

lazerus The off boost afr are kinda wack on the two graphs, this is due to nailing the throttle and having the car bog down. It makes the accelerator pump throw a lot of fuel down at that moment, once that loading goes away the afr stabilizes again. All the cars were street tuned before hand, they have a near perfect afr for out of boost driving in real world conditions.
gritsak The owner of the Greddy kit is eventually going with a Dart block, full race kit and 500whp so 880cc's are needed for the future.
tegasaurus The del sol's torque curve is fairly strange looking. I actually have another turbo b16a graph from this summer that is identical looking. Alot of the problem is the stock b16a intake manifold. I tried my best to get the vtec dip out of the curves, but that was the best I could do in an hours time.
dasher All the numbers I pushed on my car are pump gas. I have low boost set at 8psi, high boost at 11psi.
FFgeoff Geoff, the guys at xotics were into the manifold and the rest of the set-up. Josh couldnt believe how much power it was making at such a low boost level, neither could I. The best part about the set-up is that I had both my low and high boost tuned in 7 pulls on the dyno. At 11psi on pump gas I only had 22 degrees timing, with my timing set at 14 degrees base I should have been at 26 degrees. Your products made the power with effortless tuning.
The owner of the rev hard is running 550cc in order to have enough fuel once he ups the boost more, I recommend to all my customers running at least 720cc injectors if they are planning for 300whp+. Hondata idles the injectors like stock, it only makes sense to run something larger so you dont have to purchase larger ones in the future. I'll have pics of my car and set-up tonight.

wow thats great to hear you made that kind of power with a very conservative timing map! Thanks for the compliments im ecstatic that everything worked out for you this well

Way to go Jeff! I need to get my motor back together and get over to Xotic and get my car tuned. Maybe with my Full Race parts I will hit some numbers like that on low boost!

354 HP daily driven on 93 octane with stock internals!!!!
Simply amazing... I guess if you use a 3 mm headgasket (which drops the compression to 8.2:1), use conservative timing , don't skimp on the fuel set up, tune it with standalone and let the turbo do all the work you can pretty much eliminate the need for building the block on a street car ... who needs more power than that on the street...
awesome work
