Default Microtech

I'm thinking about getting the MicroTech LT8 next spring if I get a 4door daily beater and if our new track ever opens. Have anybody with a Honduh used this setup? My friend with a 20B three rotor in his FD3S RX-7 just installed an LT12 and he loves it. The entire car needs to be rewired but that's no biggie to me.

The 4 door beater! Toyota JZX110 MarkII with a twin turbo 1JZ motor

Check out the PRS-4 or PRS-8. Both of them have rotary modes. These are some of the nicest standalones that hardly ever get mention. I own a PRS-4, its great. Havnt really put it to good use yet. Has a shitload of fully adjustible outputs, works with practically any type of crank/cam sensors (magnetic, optical, hall, etc), and has auto-tune. Check it out.

Thanks for the perfect power link but I'm only interested in the Microtech.

My beater is gonna cost $20k and I'll sink another $5k to $7k into BPU(Basic Perfromance Upgrades). My girl doesn't like riding on 20kg/16kg shocks, climbing around the monkey bar set and the "racecar in disguise" doesn't fit the management level image that I am supposed to keep. Basically my Teg is gonna become a weekend wonder.

I also thought about getting a Mine's R32 GTR Nur. R32 Nur = R32 GTR body that as a 1000pt spot job to increase rigidity, 400whp R34 Nur engine with N1 turbos, R34 tranny, R34 wheels and brakes, and much more. $40K for a remanufactured 400hp R32 with a WARRANTY. Too many americans have GTR's over here so I don't want to join the poser crew.

boostedrotary.. I am the Far East/Japan forum mod on RX-7 club . Dragon with the yellow 20B FD is one of my best friends. Right now I am just looking because Hondata's next update might make me "stay at home".

There are 5 american owned R34's in Okinawa and too many R33's and R32's to count. I would love to own the R32 Nur since it is a limited edition car but I think the JZX110 Chaser will be a better buy because I only need one car that is modded to hell and back. If I get a GTR, 400whp will just be an appetizer because my friends GTR's are 500+whp monsters and two are well over 800whp with another one hitting the 1100whp mark (Japanese owner). I don't want to get caught up in the horsepower race. Owning a boosted Honduh is much more fun but I want a comfy car for driving to work and dating.

Dee,

I just took a look at the microtech website for a bit. The features, software, etc really are impressive. I have to say that i only have heard about this system in passing with a rotary friend. The LTX8 system seems just about as capable as all the other systems on the market.

The price for the LTX8 systems comes out to: 757.00 USD

The price for the Dash monitor comes out to: 311.00 USD

So for around a 1000.00 you can have a bad *** sequential, dual coil driven, crank reading, dash monitor display standalone system. I am thinking of selling the Hondata in my civic and putting on of these in....

http://www.centralfloridaturbo.com Call and ask for Rolo. He gives the best prices and is the best microtech tuner in Florida. He has some fast rx7s, 240s, and hondas using this system.

I'll probably end up just buying one since once I have the unit installed and working, I wont want to take it out. Since the microtech uses all the OEM sensors, you could just get a respective obd-1/2 female OEM plug, and make the wiring a plug and play application. If I do use the system it will be with my N/A hatchback for road racing. I need to have a real time datalogging system in the car, and monitor/tuner screen is exactly what I am looking for. I emailed them with a bunch of questions on the system, if the answers are satisfactory I'll be ordering one in the near future.
