Default Maxrev BOV sound?

I'm currently using the Maxrev BOV (came with the Maxrev kit), and I can BARELY hear the BOV when driving. Is this normal? I can only hear it when I'm trying to listen for it, and when I do hear it, its a slight flutter. Can anyone help?

i had one on my car (nissan 1.6L) with a small T25/T3@6psi it had a nice sound to it. even gassing it in neutral/no load, it would "blowoff" it sounds good.

is it opening at all? hear any surge?

I know its opening for sure, but I just hear a slight flutter. And its only if I'm trying to listen for it. Maybe it needs to be "broken in"?

you can adjust the preload on the spring by turning the cap clockwise or counterclockwise....maybe that'll help. or u could try a different vacuum source. another option might be to order a different spring rate for the valve. it doesnt need breaking in, the piston and cylinder are machined out of dissimilar metals, they help prevent sticking.

so if its my wastegate going off, then my blowoff valve isn't blowing off at all then? I've never heard of a wastegate making a noise like that

Are you sure that fluttering isn't compressor surge? You might want to check your vacuum lines if that's the case

well, they dont need to be broken in and if it was not working properly there would be compressor surge. If you are here a flutter like a fast "woooowooowooop" noise then the BOV is too tight and letting the air back up.
