maximum egt temp
Hallo,
i'am a littlebit confused about my current egt temperature. My setup is **** at the moment i know (too low compression and so on) but thats a general question of what is wrong.
My Setup:
stock internal B16A1 cr 7.7:1 (i know its to low)
16psi of boost
Ignition is retard 1° static at the distributor
my EGT probe is mounted aprox 2-3" after the turbo outlet flange
egt at WOT under full boost is aprox 1800 °F i think thats too much or am i wrong?
don't blame me for that **** of setup i don't build it up and i will change it next time i'am only afraid that if my egt's are such high on a 7.7:1 cr how will it be on a 10.2:1 (what i'am plaing to do next year)
Whats the maximum egt on a stock B16A engine? what can i do to reduce the temperature? i know generaly richer mixture or advance timing, but on a 10.2:1 i don't think that i can advance so much and i allready drive a AF Ratio near 12.5:1
Thanks
Malte.
