I'm glad to hear that b20's can take some boost. I was no where looking to go 10+ PSI, 5-7 was more my range. I'm not a racer, I just want to add a little umph to my project. I hope I could get a few more posts on how much boost you b20vtec guys are running....
Why go turbo if you just want a little umph? Sounds like a waste of money and time to me. B20's can't handle a decent amount of power for very long, the sleeves will crack. I guess if your only boosting a few pounds you can get away with it for a while. I would just pick up any other b-series block and boost that... it will be much safer and more upgradeable.
many people like to say that the b20's dont like boost, if properly tuned on a healty motor it should be able to take up to 10psi hp is a different story. with many motors that honda made its unfortunate that nothing was ever put out with a forged bottom end
i would say that you need to see what shape the motor is in before boosting and then decide what hp levels that you are looking for, not boost levels. hope to help, i think that issues on boost and b20's is a pretty covered issue so look around and see what else people have done with the stock block and boost
