Default max boost from greddy kit on built motor

We are building the motor on our 00 civic si (blew the rings after two weeks of boost!!). Its going to most likely be in the low 9's compression wise (endyn rollerwaves). Im wondering how much boost we can push with the td05 18g turbo. Ive heard 15 psi is the max with this turbo on a b16a.

Also, has anyone ever upgraded the turbo on a greddy kit? Such as a turbo spec'd for a DSM? 20g or maybe a bigger 18g?

on the internal wastegate the max you'll want to push is 15 PSI, but if you weld it shut and get a external WG mounted then you can boost higher. I've been told the TD05-18G can flow for up to 400-450 HP max. EDIT: thats if you have the proper fuel management and built block of course.

FYI swapping a 20G is like swapping in a straight T4.

if you want good info on how to squeeze the most out of a Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) turbo visit http://www.dsmtalk.com

ask boost killz...i think he made around 325 hp or so w/ his greddy kit at 15 psi w/ 9.0:1 comp, hondata and 720cc injectors....

Just the info i was looking for. The motors on its way to get built as we speak. Endyn pistons, Eagle rods, Cometic HG etc etc. It will be getting a Hondata very soon as well. I figured a 20g would be overkill but i was still curious. ****, guys with DSMs complain about it being too big on their 2.0 litre engines, imagine a 1.6 Well the owner eventually wants a custom downpipe. When we do that, we can go with an external wastegate. I have heard people talk of the 15 psi limit and didnt even think of boost creep with the internal WG. Makes sense!

Man, now i wish we just went with the drag III!!! Didnt expect to be building the motor this soon or even NEEDING an external wastegate so soon.
