Default map sensor voltage -> mbar -> in/tHg & psi conversion able

I finally installed my wideband o2 sensor and egt and all that good stuff and I went to street tune. Later I found out that my zeitronix datalogger doesn't read boost without getting their 3.5 bar map sensor. But I was able to hook up my map sensor to the user input on the zeitronix. But I found that to be quite useless because nobody tunes their car by comparing the rpm to map sensor voltage. They compare the rpms to in/Hg and psi. So I dug deep in my high school algebraic skills and formulated a spreedsheet that helps with converting a stock honda map sensor voltage to in/Hg, psi and mbar and vice versa. I know this will help me tremendously in tuning and I thought I'd share it with you all.

Enjoy

okay, this dose not make much sense to me so here i go...

Im usein the 2.5 map sensor an getting a CEL3 with my p28. Im tuned on uberdata. I hooked my vafc back up to i could look at my voltage/mmhg an see what my sensor is doing.

Looking at this chart, i can not find what my voltage should read for my PSI im running.

Im useing the motorola 2.5 sensor, running 10psi. What should my Map voltage be at 10psi, an what should my mmhg be at 10psi?

Any help would be great! Im lost!

A 2.5bar MAP should read about 3.17v at 10psi of boost. As for mmHg, that's rarely used - its inches of Hg [mercury] (aka: in Hg, in/Hg, Hg"). Not only that but mercury is used primarily for reading vacuum, not [boost] pressure. You can figure it out by doing the math, since 25.4mm = 1". BTW with the key on (datalogging working) and engine off, it should read about 1.88v.

If you have uberdata, it shouldn't throw a code for the MAP, unless its hooked up incorrectly. You also have to tell the EMS which sensor you are using; changing the MAP w/o retuning is bad.

thanks man!

Yeah i had a base map from pharable.net i used for like 5 months with the motorolla map an it worked great! Then, i get tuned an i get a CEL..... IT SUCKS!

Im useing p28, with uberdata 1.7. with the 2.5 sensor slected. Tuned that way. I checked the Voltage with my key on, an got like 4.8V on the power, 1.8 on the other, an ground. So i know my stuff is hooked up right.

I re-cheked an rechecked wiring, order.... voltage.... ect... i even hooked back up my vafc to i could watch the voltage an see what happens when the CEL comes on. The car stalls out after 900 rpm an dies. so i mean it is hardly idelin lol...

But when i get the cel, i click my keys off, then back on an it goes away. Till i Decell useing my brake then 9/10 i get that dam cel. Code 3.

Watching my voltage with the vafc i dont ever see it drop, i will wiggle my harness around in the engine bay, an going to the ECU an never see my voltage buge! arge!

any help is better then no help! thanks for reading! I will watch my VAFC voltage an see what i peak at, on 10psi.

I know in mmhg, after a pull i get a reeding of +0.010mmhg.......

thanks!

oh, i checked my map voltage at 10psi. Its at like 3.10 lol. so my sensor is working corectly. So i would assume its uberdata. can anyway i can just copy an paste my fuel maps on a frsh new map? maybe mine has a krupt file..
