Default Manley H vs. Eagle H

Has anyone bought some manley h beams yet? I asked manley what they were rated at and they said 600. Anyone think they are undershooting that, i know people have made 650-750 and even 850-900 on Eagles, ive personally made 690 on eagles. ??????????

they are probably underrating the H beams because they don't wanna hinder the sales of the turbo tuff rods. the turbo tuff rods are rater to over 1000HP.

if they rated their H beams to 900hp like eagle does, no one would buy the turbo tuff rods because "900hp" is way more power than what the majority of the setups out there will make. and they are half the cost too.

so would most people agree that they will hold 750 max power because thats all i really need or want at the current time. I was thinking they would underrate them, I wanna see a difference in "machine" work between the 2. Crowers, eagles, scat, and carillos look the same as far as their h beams go but when you look close you can see slight differences between them.

if your planning to build a setup that will for sure make 750+hp......would you rather not spend an extra 300-350 bucks and buy the turbo-tuff rods? i know i would.........

sure there are lots of guys making that power on the eagle H beams.....and chances are they would be fine at that power level....but 300-350 bucks now is much cheaper than thousands down the road if for some freak accident one of those rods punch a hole out the side of the block.

i can tell you that i have a set of eagle H beams and manley turbo tuff rods and you can defiantly tell the machining quality difference between the two.

yeah i know what you are saying and im really seeing about buyin the turbo tuff rods but i just wanted to see differences. I have no doubts in the H beams from either company holding up, i have never had an issue with an engine involving rod issues. When you see people using eagles in their race cars making over 800whp, that whole " wouldnt you rather spend the money" thing goes out the window to me because obviously these other rods are strait up holding the power and people are just buying the top notch because they can.
