Default manifold type ?s

I know that they're are several different types of manifolds out there. After a failed attempt at research, is there any real difference between a log style, shorttubular and equal length? I know the obvious one is cost. I also know that for an external wastegate it's best to have it centrally located (which most are) vs. on only one of the pipes. I plan on spending no more than 450-500 for a mani. Also, if it should matter, my car is and will stay a daily driver. Thanks for the help.

the one major difference is the flow....equal length is going to flow the best and support the most top end power, followed by shorty log, then the log

also some models of the shorty and the EQ dont allow you to keep AC or PS....

Log manifolds will spool the turbo quicker due to the short runners.

So something like this?:
quicker spool=log
More top end=equal lenth
best combination=short tubular

Any ideas on about how much more power could I expect compared to one over the other using the same turbo and boost level?

kinda...if you have AC and PS, you're probably not going to find much for EQ's....especially used! If this was my car, i would go w/ a log or shorty.....I'm going to be using a SPoolin log on my GSR.....

They're a good price, you can keep AC and PS and you'll make really good power w/ it!

PS and AC don't matter to me. I've never had PS and haven't had AC since the swap(still have all the components for air to flow through the car but no compressor to make it ice cold).... So looks like a shorty may be the best for what I want.

you could do any of the above, just know that the EQ will make the most power, the log will make lower rpm power, but kinda lose some top end....and the shorty should be somewhere in the middle.....

I guess now, the only question is what can you justify spending.....

Well I found a place on here selling a Stainless Steel short tubular manifold with the port for an external wastegate(not including the WG itself) for 295 shipped. They offer the same thing in mild steel for about 50 bucks less. Is that a good deal? The also offer log style and equal length @ different prices. It's through a sponsor on here known as LSD Motorsports, they seem to have great prices on everything they offer.
