manifold q's
i have been reading on HT and surfing all day today, and damn ive learned a lot......
one thing im not too sure about is how you pick an exaust manifold
do different brand wastegates all have different bolt patterns and diameters? do all turbines have the same bolt patterns?
is this stuff like unervisal? ive notices some wastegates have a 4 bolt and some have a 2 bolt pattern
and when people say a turbine has .60a/r wtf is that? a/r?
thanks

Picking out an exhaust manifold isn't all that hard. You can see on the board who has what and get their opinions on it. The .60a/r is the size of the exhaust housing. Generally speaking, the larger the exhaust housing the more exhaust flow is needed to spool the turbo. Larger exhaust housing will give you more top end power but you need the engine to get it there. Try looking up http://www.howstuffworks.com then go to the turbo section. It's good reading. Not all turbines have the same bolt pattern.
