hey art can you make this a sticky?

For my senior engineering lab, i am going to (along with 8 other senior mechanical engineering students) be putting a number of manifolds through a variety of tests.

I would like to test as many B series manifolds as possible. The tests will go on during the last week of april and i will need anyone who is able to let me use their manifolds in this test. Revhard, DRAG, Maxrev, no full-race tho and anythign else you might have.

We will test for pressure drops, air flow equivalencies, frictional flow through a pipe, frictional effects of air in various collector arrangements, etc.

The manifolds will not be damaged in any way during the testing, and if you need references, ask the majority of the people on this board. I will post the manifolds i dont need as we receive the samples. Any manifold manufacturers are welcomed to sned their products, and i assure you the data will be unbiased.

ok you guys will be getting phone calls the first week in april

i am going to build a GIANT plenum box for which to create a high pressure region, and from here i will weld a flange that the manifolds will attach to. Then flow each one, monitor pressure drops at various air flow levels, velocities, and a host of other things. All the stuff is already in the lab so all i have to do is make the huge plenum and weld a flange to it. shouldnt be too bad.

 

good luck Your senior project sounds really tight. that is the way to mix school and hobby together.

I got a stock ls Manifold. I may need references though. J/k If you still need a Drag manifold let me know. I will just borrow your off your car while you are using mine.
