all im sayin is that wrap is cheaper and more effective at keeping heat out of hte engine compartment.

my manifold is mild steel and the coat would stop it from rusting unlike the wrap kinda helps it rust, so thats why i was leaning toward the coating instead

There's this new foil type stuff they use on the Busch Series cars. I've seen it, but don't know anything about it... Just curious if anyone else has heard about it?

"High Temp Silicone Coating from DEI - These coatings are recommended for for use over the DEI Exhaust Wrap to seal and protect the wrap against oil and dirt. One 12 oz can covers about 6 square feet. Made in the USA.

tell ya what, it for shure is going to melt the **** out of that dipstick, mine did. had to buy a metal str one.
