Default Manifold to head nuts in a really difficult position.

Hi, this is my first post, I apologize if it's in the wrong section of the forum. I am currently trying to take an old drag log manifold off of my h23a non vtec swap 98 ek hatch, but those details are insignificant to the issue. The issue is, the bottom nuts on the manifold are kind of place in an indent, have no idea how the previous owner managed to get these on and I can't seem to get them off. I can get the middle one to turn a little bit but not much, and nothing for the others as it is close to impossible to get a wrench on them with any sort of usable leverage. I have tried WD, should I try pb blaster?

You will have to loosen them as you pull the manifold off. Open end wrench looks like the only option.

what he said. Heat the nuts and or manifold. Open end of a wrench. If you need leverage, carefully bump it with a dead blow

You *might* be able to get a flare nut wrench on there, but you'll probably be stuck with using an open ended wrench. I would definitely spray with PB blaster to give it the best chance of coming off without slipping and damaging the nut.

thanks for the tip on the flare nut wrench I'll try that, currently letting them sit there soaked in PB
