might be dumb but just wondering i am running a rull drag car no street time?

if your car is automatic, the answer is no it's not mandatory but if it's standard, the answer is yes until you want to do some damage to your turbo.

What the hell does the trans have to do with it? Its a release of pressure instead of it re-routing to the turbo. Its not a NEED but more like a prevenative maintenece mod. Even stock cars like eclipses have them.

No you don't if your runing hondata just full trotle shift ALL the time but for the price its a good damage prevenitive part

That's a great idea, but what about when you have to stop? You going to just do an engine break with full boost still in your charge pipes. Turbo's will get expensive quick.
