Default lsvtec

I'm running stock block and head for my lsvtec setup. what do u set ur vtec cossover at and what to rev to . it on a ls tranny with gsr head. i was thing about reving to 7600- to 8000k and vtec cossover at 5k or later maybe sooner.

vtec on a gsr engages at 4400rpm...so dont go too high...and dont rev it too high, the ls rods are the weak point...but to set your vtec engagement point take it to a dyno and make a pull nonvtec...then for the next pull set vtec low like at 3000rpm...take the 2 graphs and find where the lines intersect and set vtec 100 rpms before that point

i just dont want to fall out of vtec between shift. maybe rev to 7500 and vtec aound 4500.

Basically right.

As for me: I rev to 8600-8700 (been tuned to 9200), and vtec engages at 5200. It's not a stock ls/vtec though.
