... lsd... street application... 300-350hp
... what lsd does everyone recommend for the street?... i was considering a stock type-r lsd... will this hold up for 300-350hp?... how about the twin-trac?... anyone use this?... or should i just go with a quaife?... thoughts/suggestions/opinions appreciated... also, who has the best prices on a stock type-r lsd?... quaife?... lemme know... thanks...
i've got some new stock type r lsd's in stock. They retail for $936, selling for $650. They are brand new. Check the link below...
I got a Quaife. I love it. I hear that they are the best out there. i won't go with anything less. FWD needs all the help that it can get. Group buy has them for 805 shipped i am pretty sure.
Quaife's make a noticable difference in handling and traction. If you get some good tires, traction bars, solid motor mounts and a quaife traction isnt so much an issue up to around 350whp.

I haven't done a ITR one but i am assuming they are about the same. You will prolly have to get some new roller bearings. Some times they are tough to get off the original Diff.

OEM Type R LSD
I don't know the limits of these diffs, i've never seen a problem with one. I remember a year or so ago Myles ran one and went like a 9.80 or something. I don't know how long it lasted though. If you're gonna make over 550hp and run big slicks then you should probably go with the quaife. Otherwise, this should be fine.

Anyone have a pic of a Type R lsd? I would like to see it compared to the Quaife. Here is a pic of my 95 GSR stock diff (on left) and a Quiafe.
