Default LS Vtec Turbo dizzy problem? im stumped

im having trouble starting my ls vtec i only dissasembled the head for a cam seal leak and switch out the turbo its tuned to 7 psi....... My car just cranks till the battery dies its on timing and i believe it is my dizzy it only gives a little spark.... i even rigged up the distributor...

i currently changed out the spark plugs because they were flooded and black and now i put these 11 Ngk v power they flooded as well and i cleaned em i gapped them at .50 i believe

Out of ten cranks it 2 times it sounded like it wanted to crank..... anyone?

Put the plug wires on the right spot on the dizzy. it looks like your firing order is all wacked.

Yeah, it sounds like you might be a tooth off on one of the cams or the bottom end or something.

try taking out the dizzy and turning the shaft 180 degrees, if the rotor is not on the right plug for the cylinders TDC, then it will not fire.

could be a couple things. check fuel pressure.

also, you gap is kinda big for boost. .030 or below is preferred. Don't think it would affect idle that much, but it might help.

be careful here. the dizzy one goes into the cam one way. ive broken a distributor trying to force it in the wrong way

also the picture from the rywire website is the correct firing order

no problems man...just completed my ls/v turbo project as well....my NGK's are gapped at .028, and the car runs like a champ through the band, and purrs like a kitty at idle. Let me know if you run into any more probs, maybe I can help.

yeah be careful when turning the rotor around 180* the distributor will only go on the cam one way like mentioned above^^ i found out the hard way when i bought a rebuilt distributor and whoever put it back together put the gear on the back of the distributor on the wrong way and i lined up the rotor the way it was when i took it off.. it was kind of hard to get on but i didnt really think nothing of it(my first honda lol) when i tried cranking it over it was jammed and the timing belt skipped a bunch of teeth.... i got really lucky and didnt bent any valves. anyways, make sure the plugs arent fouled out and are gapped properly, and your saying it just dies out at idle?

what is ftw? i've seen this more times then i could ever count and never knew what it meant lol.. sounds like a noob question just never asked.
