k sooo thinkin about buildin an ls vtec already got a built ls bottom end 9.3.1 compression wiseco pistons stock stroke eagle h beams n acl bearings what all do i need or should do to build an ls vtec ive heard of the whole golden eagle kit just askin for some extra advice maybe some pictures of some of your ls vtec turbo builds thanks in advance for any opinions and advice

 

well first u need to tell us what is your goals with this car... how much are u planning on boosting and what your hp goals.. and is it going to be a daily driver or just a weekend driver race car

 

ive got the same questions as the OP, my goals are around 400hp for the track, 250hp daily...friend has a b16 head he wants to sell to me, says I wont be able to see my goals on a built ls without the vtec

 

hmm atleast 400hp using a gsr head and a daily driver for the summer probably gonna buy a turbo around the size of a gt35r

Your friend is wrong. If you already have a built LS bottom end, throw some springs, retainers and turbo cams in the LS head, get a Skunk2 or Blox IM for cheap and you can run 450 all day without problems.

Although it would be easier to do with a VTEC head, it's all personal preference really.
