ls/vtec tubro help!!
so i picked up an integra for a steal this week. the car has a b18b1 bottom end wit a b16a2 head (ls/vtec). i noticed that vtec does not switch over what should i be looking for ? second is it turboed and feels like there is a compressor surge how do i go about fixing that im new to boosted cars. but a little bout the motor..the previous owner said that the car has type r piston thicker head gasket and is also cammed..it runnin bout 10psi and has a chipped p30 ecu..i wanna fix the surge and wire up vtec. also the bov is welded on to the piping and its a no name BOV. if someone could help me wit this i be very thankful!

are you sure vtec is not already wired up. It could be many things such as a ls oil pump, low on oil, dent in oil pan, etc. Compressor surge can be fixed by a better blow off valve
