LS block - GSR head / Not VTEC
Hey guys, got a question. I have a B18a right now, waiting for a turbo setup. (and a car to put it into) I don't really want to go LS/VTEC Turbo, but was thinking of maybe getting a B18C1 Head and not utilizing the VTEC because i don't feel like the extra complication. (im already gonna have enough headaches) Has anybody heard of someone doing this or had any experience with this. Just something I'm pondering amungst others. Let me know.
Thanks
Mario

wasit of time and money. keep the LS head.
GSR head WILL NOT make power past 5k or so without Vtec. Vtec is a good thing.

Brad can do some awesome work with the LS head.
it needs port work, and bigger valves.
take the money you'd put in teh GSR and get him to do your head and flow MORE

actually, i read something in the high performance honda builders handbook, i didn't actually read the article because barnes and noble closed (yeah, i was being a jew) but they had something about a motor with this setup. searched and didnt find any threads so i just wanted to ask and see if anybody here knew anything about it.

Re: (GSRswapandslow)
Thanks, I may need to look into sending my **** out. I was going to give it to my engine builder/machinist, but up here in CT, nobody really specializes in hondas, everything is domestic. I would trust my people doing standard stuff like honing, decking and **** like that but stuff like heads and porting, I might need somebody that has some specific honda background
