Default Low compression with turbo cam?????????

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone could help me out with a compression question. I've got a D16Y8 with a stage 1 turbo cam. I did a compression test on it and I've got about 160psi in cylinder #1 and 130psi in #2,3,4.... According to a couple people I've talked to the D16Y8 is supposed to be about 9.6-1 ratio. I was also told that should be around 200-220psi in each cylinder. Would the turbo cam make it lose that much compression? If anyone could clarify it would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.....

If anything, it should have higher compression, since it likely is supposed to have less overlap than stock, as its only a stage 1 turbo cam. But thats more of a dynamic compression thing, so it shouldn't really affect this reading. Only thing I could imagine is that cam timing is off 4deg, as that would happen with a z6-spec cam in a y8 head (cam gear).

I would imaging the rings are just going bad, as 160 vs 130 is well over a 5% difference. It also depends on how you test it - WOT, 2-5 rotations of the crank (starters usually spin 60rpm) is the usual way to go. Otherwise a sohc with 160 is ~8.5:1 CR.
