loss of boost, no more compressor surge
first of all the setup:
dohc zc
mitsu turbo (daytona) teo4h
hf manifold with adapter
turbosmart mbc single stage brand new
stock internal wastegate (5psi)
now onto my problem,
i have the mbc set for 10psi, and i did a few hard pulls and then i was driving and i noticed that i don't get any more than 5psi, and i have no bov so the compressor surge is very audible on my car, even 5psi, but now i don't have any compressor surge, just a quick chhh. like a burst of air almost.
the wastegate arm is still connected to the plunger lever, all my pipes are still tight, my mbc is the same, i have no leaks, and i still build boost fine but it stops at 5psi and i get that surge.
any suggestions?
the only thing i can think of is the wastegate isn't fully seated but i don't know how that would eliminate the compressor surge after the throttle plate closes.
