Default Looking to build a reliable ls-t

ive looked all around on the forums at dif setups, i like alot of what i have seen. But i have a b18a1 that im in the middle of aking apart on a engine stand an i wanna make it into a reliable 220-260 hp turbo everyday driver for my eg coupe. what do you have for recomendations from the turbo guys i was thinking stage 1 cams an eagle rods with cp pistons maybe? What i had in mind that i wanna do is a slight overbore to round out the cylinders again an then cp 9.1 pistons with arp hardware an a polished head with stage 1 cams retainers etc....what are other sugestions? i want a reliable everyday driver but also to head out to the streets an track an be respectable.

A buddy of mine recently sold his hatch w/ a ls-t setup in it. Forged bottom end and fresh head (valve seals, valve job, cleaned) with a 57trim and log manifold. Car made 230 on 9.5lbs I believe. Very strong and very reliable. Fun car!

Get yourself a T3/T04E 50 trim turbo, a good tune, and you can net that goal, and much more, on a bone stock motor, and still be reliable. (see sig).
That turbo will reach maximum pressure (spool) very quickly, and a .63 a/r exhaust housing will hold the power to redline.

I would consider forged internals (pistons and rods), and cams and valvetrain in the head if you are planning to up power later, but if you wanna stay in the targeted whp range you shooting for, you can get that all day long on a stock motor, and a good tune. Good luck.

I was going to say the exact same thing. I'm at 250 at 10psi right now with almost the exact same turbo as mentioned above. Once I get a boost controller I'll be going back for 300 at 15 psi. Save your money on all the forged internals and buy a good LSD so you can get traction.

Justateg's Setup on page 5 here, is an example of a well-put together setup that is still driving to this day.
