Default long hill drives....? (engine killer?)

just a question.

stock b16a
t3/t4 50trim .63 a/r
5-8psi (220-250whp hopefully)
hondata s200b

ok now how safe would it be to be driving a hill pass driving pretty hard. i would say about 10-15 minutes of constant 3rd, 2nd gear corners?

engine meltdown?

reason for this question is i love driving the hills, i think its 10x more fun then the straight line. but i want to be able to do it without destroying my engine.

who here actually drives there car hard? and not just on the straightway???

make sure you have a good intercooler, keep your engine tuned conservatively, and keep an eye on your gauges. Make sure you have an oil pressure gauge, an oil temp gauge, & keep an eye on your OEM water temp gauge if you don't have an aftermarket one..

Best way to put it... Listen to your car... It will tell you if it doesn't like what your doing. Mine always does.

Well, with hondata the partial throttle driving isn't that bad, as compared to the hack where it begins to advance timing.

hopefully you have an EGT. that is always good indicator on how hot the cylinder temps are.

Yeah, just monitor temperatures. If you want to be on the throttle for a longer period of time you will need to tune more conservatively.
