i got a d16y8 with a stage 2 clutch an 7lbs flywheel could i put a supercharger on this on would it turn to quick for the SC?

 

turn too quick for the SC?? I know that for turbo setups, having too light of a flywheel will cause some problems with losing boost between shifts, but i've never heard of these problems for superchargers....IMO, i think you're fine

I have a 12 lb flywheel on my JRSC car and there is no problem using it. The only thing that can be tricky is trying to launch with it.

 

depends on your application... i think you have it in your mind that since SC take away SOME power to make power, that you need to lighten the drivetrain so you can get that power back. thats not true. give me a PM

 

could you elaborate on that in the post, im a bit curious about the lightweight flywheels too with my JRSC.
