Let's play a game! Name this engine based on fuel delivery!
LOL. I know this should technically be in the EFI tuning section, but I figured it would get a little more interest here.
This is a gentlemen in another state that has a supercharged RSX-S. (I know, I know, I just told you the engine, but this is too comedic to resist.) He was complaining about a knock count he was picking up at just under atmospheric on the high cam.
He shot me over the calibration he was running (a tune over the internet from someone), and a datalog of the issue.
Here's what the high cam fueling looks like (for all cam angles, BTW).
Now, what engine in the world uses (nearly) the same exact fuel values for the same load at every RPM?

Wow. I'm not a tuner by any means, but I would like to think that a professional "tuner" knows HOW to tune a car.

That's the funny thing.
You ask what AFR's look like at WOT/boost, and he replies "Look at the datalog, it's perfect flat line at 11.5:1!"
...The OEM RSX wideband doesn't real any lower. Anything richer than 11.5 is displayed as 11.5.
Internet tuning, FTW.
The timing map actually looks OK. The guy who tuned this car is semi-local to me, and got a hold of one of my calibrations a while back when I tuned HIS car, so I can only imagine he picked up the timing map tricks from me.
...But the flat line fuel curve? WTF?

If everything is working as it should mechanically, your fuel curve will look like your torque curve (assuming you have the same a/f ratio across). Most likely your torque curve isn't THAT flat.

I'm just amazed this guy makes money doing **** like this.
No engine I have ever tuned, or seen, has ever had fuel demands that looked like that.
