As long as it has an odometer hooked up, i don't think it matters.. I would imagine a speedo, odometer would be the only requirement... autometer makes lots of replacement gauges for that sorta thing.. but most of the peeps that do it are....uh hm.. DOMESTIC!

show car cool... but ugly to me..

is that car a hitter? the panels dont match in colour or is it just the photo.
it is very illegal here for removing the cluster - you cannot disconnect the odometer, your car will be rebadged a true mileage unknown, plus you must have a speedo. looks mint though

I dont see why removing the odometer is illegal. Misrepresenting the mileage on the car is, but removing the odometer shouldn't be. Dont really know though.

Oh, and whats that below your row of gauges?

Why did you go to SI doors? Or did you get hit, and insted of getting it fixed, you just got new doors, and they happen to be si doors?

i think your only problem would be trying to sell it. as far as driving goes, i don't even know if its manditory to have speedo. i'm sure many states would let you pass inspection without a speedo or odometer. except for cali of course. are you guys in california still allowed to drive cars or what???? hahaha

nice set up btw.

its illegal because then there is no proof of what mileage the car has, with no odometer hooked up you can misrepresent the mileage allllll you want and theres no proof.

It is not illegal. However, the title must state that actual mileage is NOT reflected.

BTW, I think it looks great, and was planning on doing something similar, just with smaller gauges.

If you absolutly have to have a spedo, then get one of those ones that reflects the speed onto the windshield!!!! Keep the way your cluster looks, i like that!!!

Isn't there a way to keep the odometer connected, but just tuck it away somewhere so it doesn't show?

Nice setup. I would check with the local laws before trying anything like that though...just to be on the safe side. I don't think a cop would notice it if he pulled you over. Maybe. Over here when they check emissions, they need your actual mileage on the car...so that might be a problem. As for driving around town, I don't see anything wrong with it. Probably might get pulled over for driving 100mph in a 45...

"Uh sorry officer, I don't have a speedometer..."
