open the valve on the bottle wehn your in the car and going somewhere you want to use it possibly... but if you leave it open it WILL leak out over time... i lost a whole bottle once....
when NOT in the car close the bottle tight.
expensive way to lose 30 dollars but lesson learned

yes.... for one you lose pressure everytime you open the bottle, for seconds it's not smart because the selinoid may burst or somthing stupid like that. But mainly because you lose pressure.

invest in a remote valve solenoid...it's the only way to run nitrous on a daily driver!
