I am currently involved with a project EJ1 with a LS. I was going to stay N/A but i decided i have a long time to invest in to this project so i might just as well go all out and boost it. Please keep the bashing to yourself there is no need to waste the time.
Now, i am just learning about boost and as we all know it is COMPLETELY different. Basically i am looking for things to look for and things to know. I am looking for some write ups on how the boost kit components work together and what exactly they do. I found a few write ups in the FAQ section but im looking for anything anyone else knows. Also as far as tuning goes. I know tuning is key to the power and most importantly the life of the motor and turbo kit itself. I live in a TIINY town and i think the nearest place to dyno a car is like 3 or 4 hours away. Any suggestions? Let me know what you guys have.

You need to determine your power goals and how much money you have to put into this. I drove 3 hours to get to my tuner with a basemap and ECU from phearable.net. It's fine as long as you stay out of boost and out of vtec.
Check out this guide:

It might contain more info than what you need, but has a very nice tuning and parts checklist for someone starting out. Please do not buy a turbo/kit from ebay. The price makes it tempting but -most- of the time it's junk.
