kkk turbo
hi guys im runing a kkk24 turbo in my car right now anybody know if they are good? any experiences with them???? and how big is this turbo currently runing on a d16. thanks for the help
lol ive been runing it for a few months but plan on putting it on a b18a or b what ever i find and wondering if this turbo will run out of breathe at higher rpms with the bigger motor help would be apreciated
i put one on a freinds jdm d15b but it was a little bigger (k26) we used a manifold with a t2 exhaust flange(sfp) car gets full boost (9psi) at around 4400 rpm and pulls all the way to redline, very good sized turbo for a single cam
K24's are too small for B-series motors. The turbo will fall flat on it's face before you hit the engines sweetspot. A properly sized K26 can make 300whp easily and if you can get the big k26 (K3T) you can hit 450whp levels. The K3T is a hybrid that uses a K27 compressor blade and larger AR K26 compressor housing.
Back to the subject at hand.. K24 = bad juju so your better go visit a voodoo spell caster before using that air blockage pretending to be a turbo.

Simple solution: sell your current setup and get a straight T3. A T3 setup will allow for more upgrades as your budget increases. The K24 is too small for a B18A/B/C. Hell, it's to small for a B16A.
i can take a pic of the compressor housing but wheel i cant cause i have to remove the piping and filter. and im in school right now i get back to work in 2 weeks then ill have my hoist back at work. where can i find a nice t3 (what kinda car)
T3's can be found on lots of cars but most are found on SAAB's, Volvo's and Ford's. You can also find nice used T3's on Ebay. I have an extra T3 but it doesn't have an exhaust housing.

For b16 or b18 you will need at least K26, there is good for 350hp, if you want more take a K27 it will do 420hp, for big numbers you can take a hybrid K27/29 or a strait K29.
I had a Kkk26 on my bone stock b16 and loved it. It spooled up by about 4200k and would pull great all the way to 8k. KKK26's seem to be about as best suited junkyard turbo that you can find for a honda 1.6-1.8.
No lauging at the junkyardness! I put it together in less than 24 hours!lol
Also, at the bottom are pics in comparrison to some other turbos, two straight t3's off of saabs and volvos. and on then a decent sized Turbonetics t3/t4 w/ 60ar compressor which is commonly used on hondas from 1.5-2.0liters, similar size.

i thought kkk turbos were mostly used on porches...........around here there is a place called pitstop motorsports....they built the car that was in the car and driver super car challenge.....it had 750hp..aWd and it was dark grey with some black rims.....it had a big authority sticker on it...the owner used dual kkk......it was off the hook....
