Default Keep my IC or go bigger?

I'm about to buy a new intercooler since mine is so small most people think its a "interfooler", i was hoping to see some power gain in sacrifice of a bit of lag, but will this kill my car completly? I have a DOHZ ZC with a TDO4 @ 6psi daily, 9psi track driven.

New intercooler measures
31" long x 8" tall x 2.5" wide with 2" inlet tubes

Should i keep the one i have or go with the bigger one?

Pic of my current intercooler, i dont feel like measuring it

It shouldnt. Most people run bigger (than your current one) intercoolers. Both of mine were common size and I didnt notice any ungodly lag. Then again, I have never had a small *** intercooler like that

LOL, your right~! It does look like an interfooler! LOL.. Get a new one, if you got the money. It will definately look better, and im sure you wont notice much of a lag at all with that new intercooler. GET IT! Why not get a Johnnyracecar intercooler? thicker core.

FUNCTION OF FORM. But seriously. If your that concerned about what size of a ic you have, then get a bigger one, but don't get one that has two inlets... that would just be pointless. get one with one inlet and one outlet. and you don't need a core bigger than 3inch thick, otherwise the pressure drop will considerable.

Don't get a bigger intercooler for 6psi or even 9psi. You should datalog your runs with the IAT sensor not heatsoaked to see if you are pulling in hot air. I doubt you are.

I know its kinda off topic, but what front bumper is that??? I hate the stock 4 door front bumpers... I modded a coupe/hatch bumper to make it fit, but it still just seems off... PM me

pfft... that IC is cute...

it would look good on a power wheels ride or something... pow pow power wheels!

get one that's rated for a little more power then you plan to run, no sense getting one too big, the new one you described sounds like the biggest you should get IMO

Everyone seams to be stuck on the size of the intercooler. turbosi03 is heading in the right direction. Pretty much who cares how big it is, how well does it perform? What is the core rated to....HP? CFM? Design of the core. So what if someone thinks it is small, if it works why does it matter?
I posted pics of my intercooler once and was told it was only good for about 300whp, It's too small, It won't flow enough, etc... Hmm thats funny, it's rated close to what the precision 750hp intercooler is. How could that be, the precision intercooler is twice the size of the one I have!?
