the reason im not connecting the vtec wire is because initially it was connnected and i wasn't able to rev past 4k...it would hit a limiter/ fuel cut scenerio. I sourced it to the vtec controll wire which when i disconnected it...im able to rev past up to redline.
Could this problem have been because you had one of the settings wrong in the etc menu like car select or throttle position type? I can see these causing all kinds of problems if they arent correct.

its not on the list of cars, but everything but the vtec part is working fine. if i were to look for parts that'll work for vtec-e...i wouldn't of found any. and since no one else has seemed to turbo a hx i guess im the guiney(sp?) pig on this one.

nope all settings for the sensors and stuff are set correctly the "in" and "out" are at 6, the cyliner is at 4 the arrow is up and too the right (diagonal) so all these settings have been set since day one. it wans't till after i dis. the vtec control wire that i fixed that rev problem.

you are definitly not "over fueling" the end of that graph is showing massive detonation i would think being caused by a lean situation, as someone earlier on this post stated. you said you are running 280cc injectors, its might sound funny, but what brand? also how many lbs of boost was this run?
and above all, if you are not planning on running a stand alone, i would suggest you switch out to an obd-1 ecu. this also will sound funny, but we have had good luck using the skunk2 66cc program, due to the large fuel curve, and little to no timing adjustments done to that program. with this setup, it would be much easier for you to tune your car.
there is more i wanted to add, but it is slipping my mind right now.
and this post is already pretty long.
hope this helps

the 280cc injectors are from a 97 prelude. i don't think its running lean cause the fuel curve when we were tuning it went rich after 4.5k these runs were only of 6psi

sounds like the v-afc is not made to run with vtec-e motors. i know its a pain in the ***, but try disconnecting the AFC and running it on the stock computer. thats really the only way to find out if the vafc is whats causing the problems.

yeah take out ur VAFC (u really dont need it w/ turbo)
reset ECU
stock injectors w/ 12:1 FMU or go to 8:1 with ur 280's
turn up fuel pressure (BTW what is ur FP?)
what is ur whole set up?

go from there

good luck

After reading all that.
You are having problems with the plugs. Regap (much smaller!) and if they aren't 1-2 heat ranges colder, do that. I'd try the two heat ranges colder, first.
280cc and 12:1 FMU is too much fuel.
Could it be something screwy with your ecu, since it's the vtec-e?
I'd have to agree with taking out the afc for the moment, if you're not using the hack, just to eliminate a possible cause.

here's a good one...when I took my car out for a spin the first time, turboed, I had a radiator hose with a cone filter duct-taped on the end as my intake. after doing a couple pulls the car would reach full boost and then go to 10in. vac. at around 6500rpm! The damn hose/tape was collapsing and completely choking my turbo! Just thought I'd share that crap.
Keep us updated, it's a mystery.

ok, first im gonna try to put back in my stock injectors cause they are 240cc so hopefully with the 12:1 it'll be not as rich. the only thing is that i don't have loot to keep going to the dyno to see if its really working or not. Same with the vafc, if i disconnect that , and just run the 240cc, the 12:1 fmu, with my walbro 255 pump...would i still be safe under boost?

12:1 with prelude injectors is too much fuel. Try using a 10:1, I had that set (prelude injectors and 10:1) for a few months before i changed to 310 and 8:1.

im running a HX turbo, inline fuel pump and 12:1 ECU, works damn good too havent taken it to the dyno, but i ran 14.0@100 on GSR rims and a poop clutch... so draw conclusions from that

alright its been raining here so imma try to take the afc out and put the stock injectors back in to see if it'll make any diff... i'll keep you guys posted. i'll be safe to run 6psi with stock injectors, stock ecu, and the 12:1? u think i'll be able to push 8psi also?

oh also..i remember that when the tuner let off the gas when we did pulls my car would backfire alot and black exhaust would come out everytime it popped...

thanks agian all
peace

were u running stock injectors? and what psi were u boosting?

i just want to be safe at boosting up to 8psi...would i be safe in doing so with 240cc, 12:1, and my 255 fuel pump?

What kind of plug you running don't say its platnuim cause it sux go cooper plug.it dont have to be 2 step colder since you running 6psi. what is your fuel pressure set at????the vafc should be ok dont need the safc. set the vtec point at a certain rpm and see if it comes on if it does then it's fine. Is you fmu a vortec ?? if it is try swapping it out with a new one.. If you have a fmu don't run your fuel pressure so hi try setting it at 28-30 psi ..never seen a graph like that b4.... usaully torq should drop off and hp should be up,the cross point is weird....your tuner should know whats going on, if he don't then he's not a good tuner. he should be able to figure this out.
